Resilience Fellowship 2024 Batucadas Populares As part of the 2024 Resilience Fellowship, Ecuadorian Xavier Moreira works to strengthen the Batucadas Populares, where through this medium, they express messages of peace and resistance to the violence affecting the working-class sectors of Guayaquil. Understanding nature crimes to fight back Destroying our planet, fueling instability Nature crimes involve illegal activities that exploit and destroy natural resources, severely impacting ecosystems, communities, and global stability. By understanding these crimes and their impact, we can take action to protect the environment and communities. Somos Comunidad Atlas of Resilience This Atlas of Resilience is the summary of a collective effort, in which communities, institutions and the vibrant and collaborative spirit of the territories and their people have made it possible for community resilience to persist. In these real and heartfelt stories is the experience and evidence of hundreds of people who, from the mountains and savannas of the Caribbean and the valleys of the Pacific to the roads of Catatumbo and the mountains of Cauca– continue to risk it all to defend their livelihoods. Meet Bobbo Moussa Follow the Fellows 2023 Bobbo and his network of volunteers have been helping vulnerable community members affected by criminal violence, particularly women and children, in the wake of Boko Haram attacks on villages and military bases in northern Cameroon. GI-TOC welcomes Bente Angell-Hansen New Chair of the Resilience Fund Advisory Council The Resilience Fund will benefit from her experience and insights as it expands its funding, capacity building and networking support to civil society organizations and individuals around the world.
