These are key partners when it comes to gathering information and researching risk, in raising awareness of the impact of organized crime on local communities and in strengthening resilience. Over the past three years, we have worked with many courageous people who are at the forefront of resilience initiatives in the Western Balkans, and who are role models for their communities and beyond. End extortion now Focusing on the theme ‘extortion and organized crime’, the 2021 Fellows have been incubating and growing efforts against extortion in a variety of locations around the world, documenting its causes and effects, and providing a voice to those affected by this crime.
